Yes. Jade has an insulin on board feature which is calculated using the time the fast-acting insulin was injected, the Active Insulin time and the size of the dose. If BG has been entered, an insulin stacking warning is shown if there is enough insulin on board to cause a low blood sugar if a dose is rounded up. Note: Active Insulin NEVER includes basal insulins. Jade uses a sophisticated curvilinear model to calculate insulin on board. Whereas insulin pumps ignore remaining insulin when it gets below 5% of the initial dose, Jade tracks insulin remaining until there is 0.01 unit left. This is far more accurate, especially for larger doses and for determining the effect of residual insulin on exercise.
